The evaporative canister purge valve is found between the upper intake manifold and the rear valve cover.
SOURCE: need to find and replace purge canister solenoid
The purge valve solenoid is supplied switched battery voltage. The ECM controls the valve by operating the ground circuit, opening the purge valve at specific times allowing these gasses to enter the engine. The ECM monitors the ground circuit as well, watching for faults. When the purge solenoid isn't activated, the ECM should see a high voltage on the ground circuit. When the solenoid is activated, the ECM should see the ground voltage pulled low, close to zero. If the ECM doesn't see these expected voltages, or senses an open in the circuit, the error code is set.In most cases the error code seen is P0443.

The heater blower motor switch resistor assembly operates in the following manner:
The assembly is located on the passenger side of the A/C evaporator housing behind the glove compartment.
Three resistance elements are mounted on the resistor board to provide four A/C blower motor speeds.
Depending on the blower switch position, series resistance is added or bypassed in the A/C blower motor circuit to decrease or increase A/C blower motor speed.
The heater blower motor switch resistor assembly, which is similar to a standard resistor assembly, operates as follows:
An overheating protective device (thermal limiter) has been added to prevent heat damage to the A/C evaporator housing.
Overheating of the resister coil(s) will occur when system airflow is stopped by excessive heat; replace only with identical replacement.
Do not substitute heater blower motor switch resistor with a standard assembly which does not include a thermal limiter device.

There is a purge solenoid for the EVAP system and it is item no.# 1 shown in the diagram below. You have to follow the purge valve vacumn hose to find the charcoal cannister if you need to inspect.
I have included a description of the EVAP system for your understanding.
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CONTROL SYSTEM
The EVAP and on-board refueling vapor recovery (ORVR) system consists of a fill vent valve, fuel shut-off valve, fuel cut (roll-over) valve, fuel liquid/vapor separator, EVAP canister, EVAP canister purge solenoid valve, EVAP canister close valve, vacuum relief filler cap, and connecting lines and hoses. ORVR system is designed to prevent the release of fuel vapors during refueling. During refueling, as fuel enters the fuel tank, a vacuum is created in filler pipe, drawing air into the filler pipe and tank. Fuel vapor in fuel tank is then forced to the EVAP canister via the fill vent valve and the fuel liquid/vapor separator. A fuel tank pressure sensor is used for detecting EVAP system leaks by comparing pressures inside and outside of fuel tank.
EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid Valve
Fuel vapors are vented into the EVAP canister during refueling and when ignition is off. When engine is at normal operating temperature and engine speed is greater than idle, a thermovalve opens and allows vacuum to open the purge control valve. Canister vapors are then drawn into the intake manifold for burning during combustion. The purge control valve is kept closed during idle and engine warm-up to reduce HC and CO emissions.

On the 2.4L engine it is located on left front of the engine.
On the 2.2L engine it is located behind the right hand front corner fascia
