Fault code 45- how do i repair it?

1995 subaru legacy twin turbo manual wagon, the engine check light is spitting out fault code 45, acording to subaru this is the pressure exchange solenoid valve being inoperative or the sensor for it is defective, thus causing the ecu to limit performance and generally make it run like ***, where exactly is the pressure exchange valve and sensor?

Hi I have the same issue, i posted a seperate question, did you find a resolve?

It is one of two places, the differential pressure sensor is o/s/f bulkhead.

Air pressor sensor solenoid is in the solenoid/ vac box o/s/f inner wing (rhd) I think it is the second solenoid I am trying to clarify this as I do not know which is relevant to TC45. just waitin on some more info...

Subaru legacy boost

It sounds like a lack of fuel to the injectors. check the fuel manifold pressure and the regulator. run fault codes to check for faulty sensors.

1996 Subaru Legacy GT - Twin Turbo, manual trans: started spitting a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust. It did that when the car started then seemed to be ok when in idle but when on take off and...

Expect to hear your head gasket needs replacing, at a minimum. White smoke means it's burning coolant. How much it will cost I can only guess, but usually a head gasket repair- a few hundred dollars-it's pretty time consuming and labor intensive, especially with all the turbo stuff that could be in the way. Good luck.

I have a Subaru Legacy B4 Twin Turbo 2.0ltr. It

indicates several problems
first is that the scan tool has not got the right protocols for reading the Subaru ECM as there are fuel mixture faults recorded
next check the vacuum hose to the turbo vane actuators and that the vanes are free to move
next check for loose interchanger hoses and holes in the intercooler

Hi, I have a '95 2L Legacy Boxer 2 stage twin Turbo. When i'm driving and the engines reving at ot just above 2000 rpm I'm getting a dip in power for a moment before it picks up again. I haven't noticed...

the 1st thing that needs to be done here is to find what fault code is turning on the check engine light, this information is absolutely crucial to making an accurate diagnosis of this problem, guessing is not an option as each part that could cause this is very hard to replace and very expensive, so get the the engine control system tested, this is what is called OBD 1 electronic engine control and requires a Subaru scanner to read code.

Fault code 45- how do i repair it?

The code 45 in a later model is for the AWD control module causing harsh shifts. On a 2000 model the warranty per recall is 8 years and 100,000 miles. For your model you can try calling a dealer about recalls.
