1990 Cadillac won't crank

Hello;

I have a 1990 Cadillac Sedan DeVille that died in the middle of the road on my wife the other day. When I got the car back, it will not start or even crank. Replaced the starter. Still the same issue. Electronic Fuel gauge reads E even though there are 11 gallons of gas in the car. Battery and Alternator are fine. Key chips are fine. Can't find anything else wrong. Checked the fuses, they are all fine.

So now I am clueless

    Motor is perfect. Found the problem through more research. VATS. Car turns out was custom ordered with the VATS system. Switch in glove box was knocked to on instead of off. This caused the shut down. Once traced and switch moved over to off again, car came right back to life. Thanks for the question in an attempt to answer question. Much appreciated.

    I take great care of my vehicles. Engine seizes have never been an issue.
