I've got Isuzu KB 250 D 2005 turbo , the engine has been overhauled,diesel pump serviced now it has got no power the speed can't really exceed 120 and is using a lot of oil

The only tune-up procedures for diesel engines are to change the fuel filter, drain the water separator and check engine speed. If the injection pump or timing belt have been removed, pump timing must also be adjusted (see Fuel System ). See General Information And Maintenance for filter and water separator service.

the 1 millionth post from an ISUZU owner
with:
no country stated! wow.... now that is a CHALLENGE !
no year
nor even what CAR its in. (car name,oops its no car)
its a diesel. large. over 4k lbs, is large here, by laws.
its used on NPR large trucks, this is not a truck forum here.

id never use internet rumors to build engines
we dont have this engine here, I think,... but id have to drive to ISUZU and ask them and buy the book.


the 4BE1 is a 3.6L direct injection engine. It replaced the 4BC2 in Isuzu NPR's from 1987- non turbo, VE rotary injection pump or Zexel/Diesel Kiki A-type injection pump. Bore and stroke are both 105 mm. Power ratings in the last versions (NKR300)are 74 kW (100 SAE HP) at 3,500 rpm and 242 Nm at 2000 rpm.

The 4JK1-TCX is a 2.5 L (2,499 cc), 95.4 mm bore, 87.4 mm stroke direct injection electronic commonrail 16V DOHC diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger and compression ratio originally at 18.1:1. It was used in the Isuzu D-Max, produced in Thailand, and the related Holden Rodeo and first-generation Chevrolet Colorado. Stock power is 136 ps (100 kW) and 320 N·m at 1800-2800 rpm. The original version is still used in the South African version of the new D-Max, the Isuzu KB, and with the compression ratio reduced to 16.0:1 in the Thai-market D-Max X-series. The 4JK-1E5-TC is a twin turbo version of the 4JK1 is produced for DMAX pickups exported to Europe from 2012. Certified to the Euro5b emission standard it produces 163.15 PS/161 hp/120 kW @ 3600 rpm and 400 Nm/295 lb-ft @ 1400-2000 rpm with a 17.0:1 compression ratio.

2005 - Isuzu dealers in the United States have only one model, the Ascender SUV,
and guess what?, it's a rebadged GM car here, no more cars here, real isuzu.
KB are in Africa, Australia and in EUROPE not here in USA. so no books here to cover it.
nor is it covered here, at our great ,Mitchells online.

The KB300 is a 2.999 liter diesel, some are TDI. (most?)
and is called the 4JJ1-TC. (t= turbo)
That is direct injected, (means check turbo , and scan it first) after checking fuses.
The Check engine light on, same deal.
Check filters. for fuel and air.
2004 the D-max , family , introduced the DDI-ITeq common rail diesel engine.

So next time post your country.
And all symptoms.

Isuzu 4bdt 3.9 smokes a lot and has no power

yet another post with no year.
no car stated, body model
just and engine, 4BDT diesel

no year, no joy, same with country.

my guess, is fuel pressure is wrong, or its regulator.?
get the engine service by a diesel mechanic?
its running to rich. and that can be turbo issues. too.
it must spool up fast. and pump air (forced induction)

My 2005 isuzu kB 300 lx has no power took it to delta in Newcastle and received it back axcactly the same with a bill of R5000 then took it to amajuba diesel services where they overhauled the pump at a...

first buy a cheap gas car, diesels are expensive to buy and keep going.
even better get and older simple car and overhaul it.
then when it breaks (keep the FSM book in trunk) any mech on earth
can fix it not needed and NASA engineer and $50000 in scan tools.
from the guy who knows now to....
$450 USD. spent is not much , here in usA, they charge way more.
and why own a suzuki, why not a far better Toyota. or Nissan.
suzuki is and underdog. infact backrupt here,Chapter 11, in USA and in Canada.
its like the modern day Yugo/Isuzu here..

my guess you are in India>? with Rupee's ?
