My girlfriends chevy Trail Blazer Stalls when making turns at low rpms, appears to be studdering at low rpms on the instrument cluster. Has trouble starting and when the battery was tested it gave spikes in voltage. The oil was changed and the charging system and battery were tested the guy said they were all fine but the air filter was soaked in gas (which explained the gas smell)

I had this same problem on my 2005 monte carlo, took mechanic a while to figure out it was the idle air control valve. They also replace the idle air control motor.

Sounds like your coil is going out. when they get hot they will go out and when they cool back down they will work normally again. If you replace the coil you will be good to go. Thanks for using FixYa and good luck!

this could be a tuffy possible fuel pump in take more likely elec is check engine light on go back to auto zone check for codes, check engine power & grounds

Sounds like your A/C compressor is seized up and stalls the engine through the belt train when the compressor clutch kicks in.
Try turning the compressor by hand (not from the pulley but from the front part (magnetic clutch), if you can't turn this by hand, it means the compressor is seized up...
As for fixing it, the actual fix would be to replace the compressor assembly, but believe me, that is usually not a cheap fix...
If you want the cheap fix, find the 2 wires that go to the compressor clutch (there is usually a plugin close to the compressor), unplug it and/or cut the wires and secure them to make sure they don't short out anywhere, or even better find the fuse for the A/C and take it out. Of course then the A/C won't work, but the clutch will not kick in and stall the engine...

Ignition system sounds probable on vhicle when everything gets warmed up. High pitched hum could be bad tire or worse bearing.
Testimonial: "Thank You for your response. The huming sound is present on idle from start-up,tires have just been replaced, would fuel pump be suspect?"

Hey a few updates it is a 2003 ext and i swapped out a code and got the obII codes p0172 "current system too rich bank 1" and p1633 "current ignition supplemental power circuit voltage low"
swapped out a fuse*
did you unhook the battery lately? That will cause the 1633 code. Did you clear the codes when it was hooked upp to the reader? What fuse did you replace?
i have not unhooked the battery lately. It was a fuse for a cigarette lighter. I just cleaned the throttle body and was going to unplug the battery for that
unplugged the battery, finished up cleaning the throttle body. now the car will stall when turning right. no problem turning left
When you turn the key on, what does the fuel pump sound like? Not with it started, just with the jey on, you should be able to hear it. There have been cases where the fuel pump comes loose from the bracket and when you turn, the pump comes out of the gasoline and the engine stalls, If the pump is on one side of the tank in that model, that makes it worse. One thing you can try is to see if it stalls when the tank is all the way full. IT could also be a wiring issue with the harnesses that control the charging circuit, the battery, the ignition etc. IT could wear or just loose.
