SOURCE: need firing order on a 1996 dodge ram v8

The order should be stamped on your intake manifold right under the air cleaner.
My '97 1500, 5.2, 318 firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Hope this helps

SOURCE: location of oxygen sensor

I believe you may have three (3) O2 sensor, (2) of the sensor is on ether side of the exhaust down pipe and some times called up stream O2 sensor, the third O2 sensor know to some as the down stream O2 and is after the Catalytic converter.
The up stream O2 monitors the left and right side banks and sends signals to the ECM to make the adjustments to the injectors to keep the proper air/fuel ratio.
The down stream O2 monitors the catalytic converter and sends signal to the ECM if the catalytic converter has gone bad.
Good luck and hope this helps. If you get it scanned at Auto Zone, they should be able to let you know which O2 has gone bad so as to not change all three. You could always check the wire harness to the down stream O2 for corrosion. Keep me posted

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 stalls while driving. After a few minutes it will restart. Not a fuel pump issue. Engine will turn but won't fire. Seems to take longer in hot weather. Any suggestions?

If this happens when you lay off the gas while driving then it could be the IAC.

The IAC (Idle Air Control) Sensor. My Dodge did the same thing and by either cleaning the IAC or replacing the IAC did the trick. I found a video for you on Youtube on how to replace it. The IAC is on the backside of the throttle body and only takes minutes to do. Mine was loaded with carbon and locked up.

check engine light and code P1391 crank or cam position sensor

Can try to replace the sensor, but verify that the wires are ok first.
