My memory buttons for driver 1 & 2 suddenly stop working along with the ability to operate the power mirror adjustments. however after a about 15 to 20 minutes of the truck running my drivers seat will adjust forward all the way and the side mirrors will start adjusting in all directions continuously. after shutting the truck off you can hear the motor for the mirrors running but the mirrors do not move. I have checked the fuses and everything checks out ok. Could this issue be related to a bad BCM?
BCM has nothing to do with this function , MMM - memory mirror module !
Memory Mirror System Operation
The MMM is capable of storing mirror position for 2 different drivers. Mirror position is determined by both horizontal and vertical position sensors in each of the power mirrors. The MMM supplies a reference voltage and a low reference to these sensors and determines mirror position through the horizontal and vertical position signal circuits.
The MMM receives power through the battery supply voltage circuit and the MIR/LOCK fuse and a constant ground source. Any time that battery voltage is disconnected and then connected from the MMM, the MMM will enter the mirror relearn mode. The mirror relearn mode can also be commanded using a scan tool. Refer to Memory Mirror Module Learn for further information. The memory switch receives power through the battery supply voltage circuit and the MIR/LOCK fuse. The MMM upon receipt of a memory switch signal input, a class 2 message from the SIC or a class 2 message from the PCM indicating that the transmission is in park, will then supply battery voltage and ground to the appropriate power mirror motors through the mirror motor control circuits to move the mirrors to the predetermined positions.
DTC B1586, B1596, B1616, or B1626
The mirror horizontal and vertical position sensors are potentiometers. The Memory Mirror Module (MMM) provides these sensors with a 5 volt reference circuit and a low reference circuit. The MMM monitors the horizontal and vertical position sensor signal circuits which change values based on mirror position. These voltage values are used to determine mirror position and can be set into memory. When the MMM receives a memory recall request, the MMM will control the power mirror to the memory position based on the horizontal and vertical position sensor signal values.
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, observe the mirror horizontal and vertical position parameters in the Memory Mirror Module (MMM) data list.
Operate both the left and right mirrors through the full range of movements.
Does the scan tool indicate that the left and right mirror horizontal and vertical position parameters are within the specified range?
Memory Seat System Components
The memory seat system consists of the following components:
• Power seat switch assembly
• Memory recall switch assembly
• Horizontal adjuster motor
• Front vertical adjuster motor
• Rear vertical adjuster motor
• Recline adjuster motor
• Memory seat module
• Memory mirror module
• SEAT 25A circuit breaker
• MIR/LOCK 3A fuse
Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop !

yes it sorta not the fuse because the fuse will be fore both front ones it will be the switch has bugered up and no not the memory either thats not relevent to the problem

Dumb question, are you sure you are using the driver one remote? Being a car dealer, some installers will power the unit to certain fuses and some times this can cause issues. He may have told you 30 but most of these guys really don;t know and they are taught once and never really know if it is a problem from car to car. It sounds like a power failure of some sort causing it to reprogram itself to original specs. I went to a NTB for a battery change and I too had some issues and to my luck the guy was a GM tech at one point. So he was able to give me a few tips. Now you may not have this luck but Maybe call a few local shops like this and ask them if the have any GM techs you can run and issue by. You would be suprised where some of these guys have come from. Especially with the layoffs and need to work, anywhere....
Hoepfully this helps.

check to see if you have power to the window motor.. if so then the window motor is bad, if not the switch is bad...good luck keith...

No fuse. These seats are protected with relays and a seat module. The module is under the drivers seat. There are 3 connectors and it would be hard to check all these wires for power to the motors.First look under the seat and make sure none of the connectors came apart under the seat by something that might have been left or rolled under it.The 2 main ones you can check are the connector 2 terminal C and connector 3 terminal A.C is a black wire which is ground and A is a red wire which is the feed power wire.Connector 2 is green and 3 is black. If the ground and power wires are good then you could have a bad drivers seat module. What I would do is go to the salvage yard and find a used module to try.Good luck.
