the speed sensor for this vehicle is actually in the rear differential of the vehicle. this is the sensor that runs the speedometer also known as the vehicle speed sensor. there are also two speed sensors in the front one on each wheel known as wheel speed sensors these are for the abs system only

SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Durango - How do I take off door panel

After you have removed the screws (one behind the door handle, you will see a little tab, pull it back to expose the screw) lift the panel and look behind it, there you will see (2) rods going to the door handle and lock. Use a small screw driver to pry the keepers away very gently. Pull the rods away from the keepers. Also, you may want to remove the panels from the arm rest and disconnect the wires from the control panel. I just replaced the window regulator for the second time.

Emergency brake stuck on my 2003 durango

pull on the brake release if you haven`t done so yet it they are still on then have someone pull on the e-brake cable when pulling on the brakes release if they release then you can try to lube the cables to free them up or find which of the cables are seized and replace them.you could have the pivots that move when applying the e-brake siezed at the arm that attaches to the brake shoes/caliper on the rear brakes that you will have to take apart and free up and lube.just some suggestions.

Gear shift is stuck in park I have a similar problem. I have a 2004 dodge durango. It will start up fine, but it won't shift into reverse or drive. It usually takes up to 15 minutes sometimes to get it...

there is a release on the brake pedal that lets the transmission shift out of park you should hear it click when you put your foot on the brake

2003 dodge durango stuck in park.

it is your interlock solenoid or switch on your brake pedal. This keeps you from starting your car in anything but park.

2002 dodge durango wont shift out of park

Not sure that this is the solution, but I found a work around on my Durango. If you take off the cover on the shifter there is a lever (button) that you can dislodge and the vehicle will release out of park. After I did this a couple of times, I haven't had the issue happen again.
