You need to locate the RPO (regular productiin option) sticker it has a list or 3 didget aplhanumeric codes on it. One code is for the tranny and it should be the only code starting with "M". Transmission codes on a 93307 c1500 4.3 2wd range from M01-M99 and MA1-MY1. You can eather google the code once you have it or send it to me and i can help you find it. The sticker is going to be in driver door jam, glovebox, or under the hood.

1997 silverado installed used trans n speed senser plug is diferent and now it wont down shift

If you have adifferent plug for the speed sensor then you probaly have the wrong year model transmission.Even though 93 through 97 look similar they do not interchange.Your speed sensor should be on the passenger side of tail housing,That is the 1995 up design. If you have a trans with the speed sensor on the drivers side of tail housing then you have a 93 to 94 design.93 and 94 were non-pwm units with 5 solenoids.95 was a pwm unit with 6 solenoids with low impediance pwm solenoid.96 and up are pwm units with 6 solenoids and high impediance pwm solenoid.Swapping these units can blow computers. It is probaly stuck in third gear because the fuse is blown or because of open vss circuit. You will not be able to make this transmission work.

I have a 93 Chevy Suburban 1500 and the Transmission won't shift into any gear. I have an 1983 Chevy Suburban Transmission that is still good. Can I use the 83 Transmission in my 93 Suburban?

Not without a little adapting. The 1993 has a 4l60e which is electronically controlled and has shift solenoids. If the 83 is an overdrive it is a 700r4 which is the same trans but not electronic. If you put it in the speedo wont work and you will need to install a T.V. cable so the transmission will shift. The 93 won't go forward or backwards?

I just put a transmission from a 1994 chevy 1500 onto my 1993 chevy 1500. it fit perfectly but the wiring harness is different. is there an adapter for this application? if so, and i install it will i need...

what color is the inside of the trans connector on the trans itself? I believe the 93/94s were a tan yellowish color. 1995 and up are different and won't work - electronics are different

If they have exactly the same amount of solenoids, you could switch the harnesses.... but it sounds like you have a 95 or newer trans which would have one more solenoid

The flywheel is balanced different. Use the 79 flywheel. The exhaust is all going to have to be changed. The trans., bellhousing will work.

Will transmission from blazer 93 fit to blazer 95

Yes it will run, if it is identical as you told us, and you will have no problem with the safety switch, your only concern now should be the gear ratio of the 93 chevy Blazer.
