My subaru came with a special wrench for working the sunroof manually, the access is under the dome light or the header control trim piece. I'm sure the VW has something similar.

Sunroof switch won't close the sunroof, looking for the way to manually close it

There should be a crank on your fuse box cover {hexagonal section}. That is the manual closer for sunroof. You have to take off cover for readong/interior light to access the cranking point.

1998 Audi A6 sunroof is will close only half way.

make it go back to the open position, look down the side of the tracks in the roof that the sun shade slides in and you will probable find the guides for the sunshade are jamming up the tracks. only way to replace them<4 one in each corner> is to remove the glass section and then close sunshade that will give access to the 4 guides which are available from dealer as a kit

Audi 1996 A6 wagon - battery drains if car not used for 4-5 days

unhook the battery completely and see if it will start after a couple of days. if it does you probably have a wire stripped and grounded out. all you need to do is install a power disconect key in the car, and you wont have any more problems.
