Where is the freeze plug on a 1998 cadillac catera?

There should be at least 8, depending on the engine. One at the end of each cylinder head. And, one on the outside of the block between each cylinder bore. NOTE- If you're attempting to replace a freeze plug, it does require a specialized tool and alot of B.S.&T.. Not a repair I would recommend to anyone but a professional.

I own a 98 cadillac catera and

First check for any leakage from your radiator, hoses or overflow tank.

If it were a freeze plug you'd not be able to miss the puddling spillage. Where if it were a head gasket the coolant and fuel / oil would mix and you'd be driving a mobile smoke generator { very noticeable while smoke }

If you can't see the leak take it in for a coolant system pressure test. Which will pinpoint where your vehicle is losing coolant.

WHERE IS THE #2 SPARK PLUG/CYLINDER LOCATED?

Change all of the spark plug wires one at a time and label them so that you know where to put them back. I had the same problem and did this. The problem went away..
