Need location of reverse switch on Ford f450 1994

The backup lights are triggered through the switch located on the side of the transmission DTR switch. Your owners manual will help you locate the fuse.

Check the reverse light switch! Located under the gear shift gaiter.

Its on the transmission housing.

If the bulb and the fuse are good, (the fuse will affect other circuits as well, not only the reverse lights), your next stop is the reverse light switch. It is located on the gearbox and is a switch with two wires coming from it. Remove the wires and touch them together and see if the reverse light comes on with the ignition on. If they do, you need to replace the switch.

The reverse switch is on the left side of the transmission. Exact location depends on which engine/trans you have.

hi the problem is not the fuse its the reverse switch. which is located on top of the gear box. hope this helps.

the reverse lights are controlled by and part of the transmission range selector switch, this switch is the large electrical switch on the top of the trans where the shift cable connects.

It seems the reverse light switch which is fitted on the gear box has sized to 'on' position, the remedy is to replace the switch.
To male sure its the switch, locate it and remove the connection to the switch thn check it out if the reverse light stays 'on' whn you turn the igntion 'on'.

It is the reverse switch that is on or located on the case of the tranny. You will see two wires that go to the plug and that will be your reverse switch.
