I have a 2000 Volvo s40 automatic 1.9 liter turbo engine which i seem to think have few problems with the suspension system. The car vibrates when i accelarate from a stop and when i'm driving up a hill.I'm also thinking of replacing the sway bar bushing due to a clunging/thumping noise i feel at slow speed and over rough roads. If any body can tell me what i should look for at this particular Volvo model for trouble areas especially in the suspension system i really would appreciate your input.Thank you.
Clanging on rough roads\
Ck exhaust pipe securements and clearances from body. huge o rings are used to suspend exhast and sometimes break and fall off.. Good luck

chk motor mounts by holding brake and accelerating
Sway bars seldldom are a problem unless mounting bushings are worn resal bad
