Need to reset check engine light on 2007 chevy impala
You cannot reset the check engine light any other way than using a scan tool. Some auto parts stores will scan the vehicle for free then at least you will know the area of the fault.
The only way to reset the light on your car is with a scan tool, or leave the battery disconnected for 24 hours. Good Luck.

Or you can try disconnecting your vehicles negative battery lead for 5 minutes. That should clear the code. if you check engine light comes back on after several days, you still have a problem
