2002 Acura MDX door lock fuse blows

The door lock fuse was blown on my 02 MDX. After replacing the fuse, I went for about a week and the door locks quit again, once again, the fuse was blown. I measured the amp draw and it is only 10 amps and it is a 20 amp circuit. I'm confused, can anyone help?

10 amps when it's working....could draw more if hanging up or if control wire is intermittently grounding somewhere.

It sounds like the circuit has a short in it somewhere. You can check for grounding with the same tester your used to measure the amp draw. Connect the tester and put it on continuity, this should sound an alarm when a closed circuit is detected. Move the harness around to see if it goes off.

Why do the door locks flick open and closed while dirving and 2005 Acura?

Acura what ? MDX , NSX , RL , RSX , TL , TSX ? Probably a faulty input to the BCM - body control module or what ever module Acura uses to control the locks with . Could have DTC - diagnostic trouble code stored .

My remote will no longer open or lock my doors I have a 2002 Acura mdx I changed the batteries thinking that was probably the issue but still nothing.

The remote may have to be "re-trained" to your vehicle. The owner's manual should have the process listed. Probably having to sit in the driver's seat with the untrained remote while working the lock controls on the driver's side door.

I have a 2005 Acura MDX and the fuse for the power locks keeps blowing. It is located on the passengers side. Any thoughts as to why? It started happening after I got a tire repaired. I wonder if...

Tires and locks are unrelated. First I have the codes read for the BCM, then I would go for the drivers door. At the door jam in front, there is a boot that holds the wires. Check for broken wires here first. The go to the hatch and check for broken wires in the boot at the top. Codes will tell you which latch is bad. Go for them also.

Plugged in my car charger into the cigarette lighter and my navigation and radio shut off.

It sure sounds like a fuse may have blown, although the cigarette lighter fuse in most cars does not control the radio, and should have been able to handle the car charger without blowing. Take the lid off the fuse box, either under the hood or inside the car under the dash on the right side or left side of the car, and look for a blown fuse. Usually you can tell if they are blown by looking at them.....but you often have to remove them first, depending on the type of fuse used in your car. The inside of the lid may have a chart that shows which fuse controls the radio.
Good luck,

I have a honda mdx and the tailgate door does not

Take off the trim panel and see if you can see the servo that controls the locks push rod. It may have been disconeted, or broken, the ends are usually made of plastic. Also you will be able to see if it is even actuating when you press the lock/ unlock. Good luck!
