The temp guage is working blows cold air when I slow down and stop. Constant driving get some warm/hot air. Coolant level looks good, temp guage working, blower fan working. Just no heat when slowing down or stopped. Thanks Matt
Do you smell coolant inside of the vehicle. If so then chances are your heater core is going.
Did you drill by the passenger side to put mud guard? I did drill into the vacuum reservoir, and it went into default blowing cold air up the windshield check vacuum lines first.
Try flushing or blowing high pressure air through the heater core lines. its sludge build up and need to be flushed through heater core only. check antifreeze fluid level. only put in straight antifreeze, do not mix. most people do not know what mixture should be, so be safe and add straight, it will not hurt it, i run 100% straight antifreeze and never had a problem or worry about it ever freezing and cracking my block, heads or radiator cracking.

It is much more likely you are low on coolant or you have an air bubble trapped in the cooling system. You should bleed the cooling system to get any trapped air out and make sure it is full of coolant.

You may need to replace the blend door actuator or its motor.

have you checked the coolant level on the rediator?if its low you wont get alot of heat

I think you could be right about there being air trapped in the system.
Or the heater core(radiator) is plugged.
Either way you need a pressurized radiator coolant pump to put the coolant in without air being trapped.
Although,i have seen it done by jacking the vehicle up high enough that the radiator was now higher than the heater core level, and then the coolant was put in.
But this is dangerous to try.
