I have a 2007 Dodge Charger RT. Suddenly my satelite radio is not receiving a signal and my FM radio with rear defroster on looses signal? Anyone hear of this problem?
Thanks!
My screen on my nav. radio on 2006 Charger black out, but it will come on sometime when you start the car for a little bit and than the sterio screen turn back off with the radio still playing.
This is a common problem with tint on the charger we always use suntek carbon film and never have a problem, but if you take a razor knife and cut the tint around the top wire on your back window (be careful not to cut the wire) you can remove the small peace of tint over the wire and this will fix your problem.
If you have the No-Nav system and/or the antenna is in the rear glass, then yes it's will effect signal strength. Some ppl with dark tinted glass have complained.
behind the glove box there is a joint [conector] were the cable runs from the rear window and ends behind the glove box. it has a female end on it-then a male end slides into it and the next 8 inchs run over to behind the radio were it plugs in.
THAT mating conector may be disconected or not pluged in all the way you will find it with tape on it with a little plastic male tab on it and pushed into a hole on the support bar for the air bag on passenger side more toward the radio [orange cable from window turns to black at conector]
Also check to see if the ant plug is pluged in at the top of the rear window under the head liner.... check to see is the ant wires are broken at the top of the rear window
These are all problem areas reported from other Charger owners...
Good luck...i hope this helps.

Thank you Mr. BrokRench. I have heard of window tinting affecting FM signal strength, but not satelite radio. The satelite radio antenna is the original from dodge located on the roof of the car. It seems strange to me that the satelite radio lost signal all together as well as FM loosing signal strength.
