Hi there, first at all check for loose wires (black wire to ground) If all wires are in good shape, then verify the bulb is in good condition, if it's burned, I recomend to replace both bulbs by new ones, I hope It helps!

If you wired a new connector in you probably crossed the H/L pins on the headlight wrong on one side.
So switch one headlights wires. I did that once drove me crazy. Simple mistake to fix. Something similar to this is what is wrong.

Can't be bad bulbs. Only one filament is on at a time. So if they were burned out one light would go off and on not switch filaments for high/low each time.

SOURCE: high beams wont turn on.

First place to start is with headlight switch. I did have a case many years ago when both high beams were blown out at once, but this is rare. When you have the headlight switch out, jump power from te low beams to the high beam contacts. If high beams come on, replace switch.

SOURCE: INOP low beam and high beams

The problem is the headlight switch itself - it's one of the most common failures on these cars. The part, brand-new, is about $158 from ECSTuning.com. Replacing it involves removing the airbag and steering wheel - not difficult but a little nerve-wracking due to the power of the airbag.

If this is something you want to tackle on your own, reply back here and I can give you a step-by-step on doing the work yourself. Or you can go to a shop/dealer and just have them do it. They'll probably charge you at least two hours' labor, even though it's a 40 minute job. Let me know what you would like to do.

Headlights wont turn

sounds like the headlight switch is defective and needs replacing, but you need to check to make sure the rod that the switch pushes against if make the full travel and not short as this will not allow the switch to change from low beam to high beam.if the rod is travelling the full length then the switch is no good.you should also hear a click when moving the arm to go from low to high if not then the switch is bad.by holding the lever at a certain position to get the high beams to work this also indicates a switch problem.

Does this model use a 4 headlight bright system? I have 2 low beam lights but when I put on the bright lights the 2 low beam lights go out and only the 2 bright lights stay on.

I think that many 1990s and even some 1980s GM vehicles with seemingly 4 headlight systems actually use only 2 at a time.

My 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais, for instance, had 2 high beams that went on independently of the 2 low beam lights when switched with the turn signal lever.

In the 1970s the GM vehicles had 4 headlight systems where all 4 headlights would go on, but they used sealed beams rather than the capsule lights that are used nowadays.

For instance, our 1976 Cadillac Seville has a 4 headlight system that lights up 4 headlights on the high beam mode.

Good luck on seeing at night with the current set up.

I have a 1990 audi quattro V8, both low lights went out.. Marker lights and high beams both work

I would check the low beam fuses. Also maybe a bad dimmer switch. Check to see if you have power at the low beam headlight plug.

I have a nissan pulsar Q 2001 model. When I turn on the lights the park lights come on but on switching to low beam the lights remain in park. High beam works fine. Where would the problem lie?

hi
the problem may be due to the mid spring inside the light switch which cause the turn on ,of the low beam light .its better to replace the light switch near the steering

The headlights are stuck on high beam.

pull on the signal lever toward you (ceter position). the signal lever controls the head lights either high beam or low beam. if you pull on the signal lever toward you again, you will have high beam temporarily. and if you push the signal lever towards the front, you will have the high beam locked.
