When i put the key in the ignition it won't turn past the lock position
I have a 2003 buick regal. I found a small cover or tab about 3/4 of an inch square under the bottom of the steering column cover. If you remove that tab and take a thin object , like a phillips screwdriver and shove it up that hole it will release the ignition so you can turn it back and pull out your key. What a great discovery!
Try turning the steering wheel in any direction while moving the key as to start the car.
Hi try rocking the steering wheel back and forth while tring to turn the key if this does not work then you will need the ignition cylinder replaced
Did u try turning the wheel slightly? sometimes if the wheel is turned and the key turned off the wheel lock will be jammed

the problem is for sure not the steering wheel. it has something to do with the anti theft system. it's rejecting
the problem is not with the steering wheel... it is for sure with the anti theft system. the wheel won't move and i can't shift to neutral. it's just plain locked up.
