I have a 2000 chevy cavalier. the dim lights work fine. when i flip the switch for brights...nothing. ive tried everything i know to,maybe someone here can help me out.

Problem should be the high beam headlight relay.
That should be found under the hood, in a black plastic box, and the box should have writing inside it to identify which relay is the high beam headlight relay.
Of course, there is a small chance it is the multi-switch on the steering column that you click for high beams.
God bless your efforts.

Dim headlight one side

Check voltage to lamp assembly. Could be a relay, a bad wire, or a bad connector. Since one headlamp works correctly, the switch assembly probably works. Without a wiring diagram. I can't tell whether the headlights get power directly from the switch or not... Time to buy a manual.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.

Well first there was a noise in comin from the fuse box when i tuned the car on replaced a fuse for the lights kinda quit for awhile then headlights went off but worked in high beam but lights wouldn go...

Hello. Your headlights relay, or voltage regulator could be bad, depending on the following:

If your lights come on normally with key-on but engine shut off, (as a test) and all your lights run fine, then the alternator - combo- voltage regulator unit may be faulty.

If your headlights lights never work right (some are off or dim) or turn off and back on sometimes when they should be on, then your headlight relay may be bad. It is possible something else is wrong, but this is a place to start. If a wire is bad you would have to remove battery and check wire from headlights relay to bulb sockets with an ohmmeter to find out for sure. Most likely the relay though in that case.
