1992 Honda Accord EX Replacing the Rear Wheel Assembly

I own a 1992 Honda Accord EX Coupe its a 4 cyclinder automatic with abs. I bought the car two years ago and it came with the abs light on and the light has continued to have stayed on all this time. I am going to be replacing the rear wheel bearings and want to know before I purchase the rear wheel hub assembly if the abs light being on will affect my purchase of buying a rear wheel hub assembly not meant for a car with rear abs. In a less complicated way can I put on a rear wheel assembly not meant with a car for rear abs since my abs is already turned off or not working? Will it bring further damage to my car other than having no rear abs?

It won't make any difference, seeing that the car is older and you don't have the ABS functionable it won't change anything. You already have the ABS light on so nothing new will happen.

ABS/TCS lights on 2002 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6. Have high quality OBDII Scanner. Should the on board system report the problem to the scanner?

Only if the warning light showed on the dash...most often these abs sensors get clogged with brake dust or dislodged during wheel swaps if the pads are fine and fluid level correct...first check the brake pads then the disks and clean the sensors with an old toothbrush and reseat, also check the fluid level on the abs system.this should clear warning light.but any error codes stored on ecu need to be cleared using obd.

Abs trouble code 5-8 on 1992 honda accord ex what does left hand rear wheel lock mean?

im thinking (do read the FSM on Brakes , it means, wheel locks up.)
as you might not know, brakes can lock, and cause the ABS to go nuts. it can fix bad bracks, its a given.
try reading the FSM here. and then ask questions.

Do you still have the problem ? If so, try disabling the ABS completely (electrically) by disconnecting the 50 amp breaker and remove the ABS controller. You should have brake power restored and be careful as the brakes will lock now if you apply too much foot pedal pressure. I hope this helps.
