There are 5 engine,(options) (post vin or open hood look up see vac uSA tag see engine size and NAME)
i'd need what engine you have to answer accurately. there are many engines used world wide. 5 usa, and 3 type 3.5L engines.

why are you worried about the CKP.? very very rare)
scan tool showing CKP , DTC errors. (it will, for sure if it is bad!!!)
or engine misfires?
or dead engine? just a hint and we can get on same page.

post exact engine and country.
1.8 to 3.2L the CKP is at the crank pulley (right side of car) 3.5L i dont know.

Code is at 3 places in your car, hopefully one is still there . look in orig. book, front or back s/b written. second in glove box, a white sticker. never there!
best bet it under cover of fuse box in front under hood passenger side (R) has relays for ABS, should be a sticker under lid. usually still there. otherwise pull radio and get serial # . good luck.
