Driving home EPC light came on and engine light. Car wouldn't go past 10mph and so I parked it and turned it off this morning it wouldn't even turn on. What could cause this? Seems as if accelerator pedal is non responsive.

EPC light should have nothing to do with the shift interlock,(EPC is traction control) should be a small cap or plug on the console, near the shifter that has the interlock disengage button,usually done with a key,check shift interlock in the owners manual.

Hook the car to a VAD dignosis and check codes.

check battery volts should be 12.6 volts.if not battery dead.have battery charged and test if battery can be charged alternator faulty.if battery dead cant be charged replace battery.and clean battery cables if EPC warning light still flash have vechicle code scan for faulty accelerator control system or mass air flow sensor.to get vechicle started after replacing battery just turn ignition switch to the on position for 30 seconds then turn off ignition switch then start engine.

First of all you need to access the Engine Control Module (ECM) using suitable diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC's memored. DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code. Then you will bu full informed about the root cause of the problem, and you will be able to repair & replace bad pieces and reset the ECM. Then the EPC (Electronic Pedal Control) yellow light will turn OFF.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

i have audi tt 2000.when i was driving on highway today my car stop suddenly and EPC light was on,also check engine light was on..what s the problem on my car?

throttle is probably going out you can try to clean it but they are usually bad when the epc light is on
