2005 chevrolet k3500 6.6 duremax diesel with check engine codes po229 po300 po303 po304 came up after changeing fuel filter with water in fuel light came on also added fuel conditoner to fuel truck idles rough does not seem to accelerate as fast on acceration blows black smoke

Dont change things if udont know solution..its just guessin. A flashin enginelite means danger. It often means the catylitic converter is bad. But hav adata stream run at a privateshop to get values to target issue. Codes are jyst approximate n general

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop before you ruin the cataylitic converter

Do tune up,coils module,wires,plugs and see what happened..

I've had similar issues. The fix I used was to take my vehicle to AAMCO and let them run a diagnostic check. Most often it will be at little or no cost and, if you don't want to mess with the fix anymore, they can fix it onsite.

If a tune up (spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap/rotor button or coil packs) don't work, try checking the fuel system.

AND YOU MUST ALSO REPLACE BOTH YOUR AIR & FUEL FILTERS, DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR , INSPECT, MAY NEED TO REPLACE, I WOULD ANYWAY !!!!!!!! ADD SOME GOOD FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER TO TANK, NEXT FUEL UP !

I doubt you have lifters,should have
OHC valve train

Most likely the oil passages are clogged up
in the cams with sludge

That's what happens when the wrong oil
& too long between changes takes place

You ruin the engine

there is a lot issue with this motor with the po300,po303 ,po304 . it has the do with the head and valves. you need to found out which cylinder is mis firing
