How do you manually close a sunroof in a Hyundai Santa Fe? Push the sunroof control lever forward in the direction of close (about 10 seconds) until the sunroof moves a little.Then, release the lever.
Sometimes if you disconnect the battery, the sunroof will lose its automatic operation. In order to reset it, you will need to manually cycle the sunroof all the way open, all the way closed, and all the way vented and closed.
Where your sunglass case is located there are a couple of screws to be removed, then remove the casing. There you will find a small square hole where you can crank the roof down.
to reset any window open it half way down then let it fully close and hold the button up for about 10 seconds. do this mithod to all auto windows encloding the sunroof . afterall try them from the driver side
hold the vent button until the roof has "tilted" completely, then hold the open button until the roof has opened completely. the light that reads ASC should now be green and your sunroof should operate normally.
