2002 nissan frontier exhaust manifold - Oldsmobile Cars & Trucks

The rocker arms should be the same for Inlet and Exhaust. I can't find any spares supplier that differentiates.

To tell which valves are Inlet and which are Exhaust, the exhaust valves are on the side where the exhaust manifold is.

Just type in on pc, 02 nissan frontier 4x4 vg33 to insall idle air control valve. I think the manifold has to come off to get to valve, it is under manifold. Replace the EGR valve. EGR is Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve and you'll lose a lot of power if the valve is bad.

Looks like about 21-35 ft. lbs. depending on which engine u have.

Hi, guys! Try some other diagnostic tool to clear the code.

yes it could.... check the oil for traces of foaming...that would indicate water leaking via a crack.
Also check for oil in the water reservoir.... sign of cracked head also...

Knock sensors can be difficult to locate because there usually buried under intake or exhaust manifolds and misc. engine wiring and plumbing. Knock sensors need to hear an engine knocking noise, therefore there usually located somewhere they can hear an engine knock. If it's a V6 then possibly it will be between the cylinder heads and access to them can only be attained by removing the intake manifold. I would suggest calling a Nissan Dealer parts person and ask them. Good luck.

One of the common problem with 98 Frontier is crack exhaust manifold, take the heat shield off the exhaust manifold and check it for crack.
