How to bypass theft system in my 91 seville - 1991 Cadillac Seville

This may be related to the antitheft system. The remote start bypasses this system so the vehicle will start without reading the key. You have a failing secuirty system. The system is known for turning off the starter and/or injectors when it fails. Normally when the injectors are turned off, the car will run for a second or two, and then stall. When it's the security locked out starter, you won't even hear a click when you turn the key. Is there a light on the dash that says SECURITY or a picture of a car with a lock through it? The problem is the ign. lock cylinder NOT the key. The tiny wires have broken and you need to get the ign . lock cylinder replaced and a new chip key to fit it.

wouldnt be an anti theft device would it ,go to dealer with cars papers and have it reset

and yes there is a way to bypass the chip in the key done it to my 91 Seville been driving it for 10 ys.

I've got an even cheaper and easier solution, instead of buying a new cylinder, find that plug and snip the orange wires going to the old cylinder.Then remove the resistor chip from the key and solder each of the the wires to each side. this will fool the car into thinking the correct resistor chip is in place, allowing you to use the original key or any copies with or without resistor chips. i just did this to my caddy and it roared to life! :)

Yes you can bypass it or replace the ignition lock cylinder. The contacts are bad in the cylinder. Let me know if you want me to tell you how to bypass it.

take it to a place that installs prostart,s and ask them to disconnected it

Replaced Problem Solved. What Is Happening Is Your Key Has A Chip And That Chip Is A Resister And When The Valve Is Not Sented To The Computer It Disengages the Fuel Pump And Than Tells You To Wait. Soon All That Will Happen Is You Will Get The Wait 3 Mins And It Will Never Start, A Good Locksmith Can Take Care Of This For You And That Will Save You Some Money. Cause If You Go To The Dealer Ouch They Will Hit You Up. But I Asure This Is How It Will Happen Cause It Is How It Happen To Me
