Power windows inop

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee: NONE of the power windows will work at all from any of the switches, electric mirrors will not work, power lock switch on passenger door locks all except drivers door, drivers door power lock switch does nothing, key fob locks and unlocks all except drivers door. I cannot find any blown fuses either

I appreciate the help - I was suspecting it was in the door, and was dreading taking it apart. Sounds now like this is a common issue. This weekend I will start with the harness in the boot as it goes into the door, looking for broken wires. At least now I know the typical spots to look.

    thanks!

I fixed the problem this weekend, took about an hour. The orange/white stripe wire in the sheath between the door and the body was broken, a wire had pulled out of the crimp connector that I assume a previous person had used to fix the same problem. I used another section of wire and two wire nuts and electrical tape to fix it. If it happens again, I know where to look.

The info here saved me trying to tear into the door needlessly. Thanks!

Power windows do not work

It sounds like it could be one fuse or several. It also could be your door control module.

Hi all,
suppose you have worked out your little problem. I have just been experiencing the same thing with my 2004 GC ltd. Windows, mirrors, etc not working and interior light staying on. Took it to the shop and they re soldered the wire (behind the door panel) that had come off. Cheap problem really.

Power windows, door locks and mirrors inop.

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...
