Had 4 new tire put on the vehicle Friday and the above message light has been on ever since. Took the car back to the tire shop and they indicated I would need to take it to the dealer to clear. Not sure why? Any assistance in clearing this message from my vehicle?

next time take it to a accredited professional shop that will read the fault codes first before advising you on what has to be replaced and not just guessing the problem
will be a good idea to go the shop for to RUN the scanner/computer .remember the electronic in vehicles now is very complicated. Do not waste time+money. God bless you
Regarding the door. Ford used to use a microswitch buried in the door catch to signal when the door was fully closed Maladjustment of the door and/or striker often caused the striker to become damaged resulting in the failure of the striker to fully enter the door catch and activate the microswitch. They might still use that system.
Regarding the TPS system, it would be advisable to ask your local Ford dealer for a second opinion and a price quotation to fix it. I suggest you tell them nothing about what the tyre shop suggested might be the cause.
Did your shop show you a Print out of the OBDII scan to back up their repair recommendations. If a shop is charging more than 100.00 they need to prove the diagnosis or warranty the repairs.. A dirty air filter can put the MAF sensor out of range. get them to Translate any codes present on the fault history, Then delete the stored fault history. Recheck OBDII for current faults. Let the print out be your guide to parts replacement to avoid parts you don't need. The only sensor that is prone to physical wear (1999, Old age) is the throttle position sensor(TPS) and possibly The oxygen sensor (O2 sensor). they are relatively cheap and should be replaced due to age. Install a new air filter and new fuel filter (cheap) and go from there.
I would take the vehicle back to the service shop and let them know about the problems you are experiencing. They may be able to correct it by pulling the wheel off, inspecting it, and 'retorquing' the lug nuts.
When you see the abs light on constantly, it means that maybe the wheel sped sensors are not getting a good signal to the abs brake module.
I would hope that the garage wouldn't do anything negative to your vehicle while it was in their care.
Your vehicle is equipped with a tire pressure montioring system. The message is stating one of the sensers has a fault. This will require attention by either a reputable tire shop or chysler dealer. Senser replacement may be requried (about 150 installed). The senser is located inside the tire/wheel assembly. Hope this helps. Please leave feed back.
If your vehicle has the silver-metal valve cores (as opposed to black rebber), the tire pressure light goes out once the tires are at or above the minimum inflation pressure. Note that the SPARE is also checked for proper inflation by the system. What I would do is check the spare for proper inflation. If it is low, resetting it should cure your problem. If the light does NOT go out, the dealer who put the tires on may have damaged your tire pressure sensor. To check that, you need a Toyota technician to check the output of your 5 sensors with their tire pressure sensor diagnostic tool. If one is not reading, I would take the vehicle back to the tire guy & make him buy you a new one, They are not cheap.
Hope this helps.
