It sounds like a loose serpentine belt that needs adjustment, or to dry, adjust or replace it.

Does this haopen everytime or only after it has sat for awhile?

it sounds like you may have a clogged catylic convertor in your exhaust system. after the car has run for a while look at the convertor under the car sometimes they will get red from the heat. or even the exhaust manifold could be red. this just happened to my suv. to confirm that it was my convertors I drilled a 3/8 in hole in the exhaust before the convertors. then I test drove the car going up a steep hill and the car ran fine no more lack of power and the engine ran smooth. if this is not the problem and you drilled a hole in the exhaust pipe then just go to a muffler shop and they will weld the hole closed for a few dollars. good luck

Is the check engine light on, and have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge ?

Lots of problems with the air flow meters

I had this problem with my Sport Trac in the winter especially. What octane gas do you use? All my problems went away when I went to 87 octane vs 93 or 89 octane (go figure) My brother is the vehicle expert, and he recommended that for me. Whatever octane the owners manual recommends, I would start there (easy). If that is not any help, I'm sorry, but I tried.

I would suggest you take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and have the diagnostic codes pulled. Reply back to this solution and we can go from there.

I would guess per your description, and this is only a guess until you have the codes pulled, you may have a secondary ignition system problem. If the spark plug wires, spark plugs and module / coil pack are old or original, when they get wet the ignition spark "leaks" to ground and causes the stumble or miss. The ABS light will come on because of the miss because it is disabling traction control.
