While driving my 2004 pt cruiser touring edition it went dead after I stop at a stop light; after about 3 times of trying to restart my car it finally started. I proceeded to the next stop light about 500 hundreds yards away; it went dead again when I stop at the stop light. It turned over again but wouldn't start. The battery is working fine and the connection to the battey. what is the problem? can anyone help? Thanks

If you have a "Autozone" in your area, go there and have them run a check on your alternator. It is free to do, and they will run engine error codes for you free of charge.

The system has to see a wide range of conditions before a smog test can be done. On most brands you have to drive at least 50 miles, at various speeds including stop and go, let it idle for 5 - 10 minutes, and run at freeway speed for at least 25 miles. It also has to reach normal operating temp of 195 degrees.

if its running at 12 volts 0r less charging is the problem

it wont go over 3000 revs engine light cums on.
error code p0243 i hav replaced wastegate solenoids cleaned egr valve cud it be the mass air flow sensor that has a problem

try looking at the bulbs first,their is a fuse for each side of the lights ---do the front side lights work ??think this is just a coincidence that they are out and you have just noticed it .
