What does your transmission lubricant look like on the dipstick. The transmission oil cooler 'lives' inside the radiator, and if it sprung a leak you'll be getting coolant in the transmission. Don't drive it this way.

SOURCE: 2005 Chrysler pacifica 3.5 v6

sc1232ip, I think that this is definitely a head gasket problem. When the coolant boils out of the everflow bottle it is because combustion gases are getting by the gasket and heating the coolant faster than the radiator can cool it down and this is the easiet place for it to escape. Also the code po300 for a Chrysler is for a misfire detected. One of your cylinders are getting oil or coolant into them causing this. You didn't mention what color your exhaust fumes were. Are they white (coolant) and have a sweet odor to them or do they have a blue tint to them (oil). Another possibility is a crack cylinder head. Good luck with this.

I HAVE THIS 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFIC HAD TRANSMISSION FLUSH AFTER DRIVING IT ..IT OVERHEAT NOW WHITE MILKY SUBSTANCE IN COOLANT RESAVOIR WHY ??

You need to check the oil and see if the dipstick shows overfill on oil or if you see the white milky substance on the dipstick you may have a blown intake gasket or head gaskets. I would think it sounds like a blown head gasket. Hope this helps.
If you are adding water to the system you have a problem somewhere you might want to run a compression check on the cylinders to see if you have a intake gasket leak or a head leak. How hot did the car get because you might have cracked a head. If you don't see the water in the oil it may be exhausting out the tail pipe.

2002 Nissan Altman looseing anti freeze but nothing under the car

Many possible causes. Leak can be when you drive, but not show on your driveway. The heater could be leaking into the passenger area, though you'd likely smell the "maple syrup" smell of anti-freeze.

It's also possible that you have a head gasket leak into the coolant, causing the overheating, and blowing some of your coolant out. Get a compression test on the cooling system, and a compression check on the cylinders.

What causes radiator water to be milky looking chrysler pacifica 2006

It could be an oil leak in your head gasket. when oil and water mix in your motor the result is a milky grey substance, I have only seen it in the block oil pan, not the coolant resevior.

I have a 2005 uplander and it over heats and loses all antifreeze and we have to keep putting more in it . We cant seem to find where it is coming out from any ide's what might be causing this problem?

My suggestion is to pull the oil dipstick on your vehicle and check your oil level also look at the color of the oil. If the oil is clear looking like you had the oil changed your fine. If the oil is very dark almost black looking, you probably need and oil change but your still fine. If the oil mark on the oil stick is very high and milky in color then I would think you have a blown head gasket on your vehicle and all of your anti freeze is flowing back into your oil pan. This can be a very expensive fix to your vehicle. I hope this helps you out on where to look to find where your anti freeze may be going.

No heat , antifreez leak not visable...

A car this new should have a warranty right? the only other place for anti-freeze to go is through a blown headgasket into your oil. Pull out your oil dipstick and make sure it is not milky in color. If not check behind the engine and see if any coolant lines going into the firewall are leaking. When inside the car do you smell steaming coolant(anti-freeze) or hear gurgling? The temp gauge that stays on is the overheat indicator?

What color of antifreez needs to go in my 2005 Pacifica?

Color of anti-freeze is generally green. You do not want to use windshield washer (blue) anti-freeze in the radiator.

Heating problem. help please

Hi,

It would seem that your overheated engine has warped the cylinder head and compression/pressure from the combustion chamber is adding to the pressure of the water/cooling system hence the spitting out. To verify, pls check your oil dipstick and see if the oil has turned to brownish milky color. If yes, then it calls for an engine overhaul, if not possibly air pockets inside engine water jackets.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
