If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. and under $10 I got my work done

Shouldn't cost much for 10 minutes work to test fuel pressure & confirm pump condition, but do it when vehicle 's been running for a while, long enough for pump to get heated up.

SOURCE: Engine shut down while driving, now it won't start.

Check your oil level. If it is ok then a computer diagnostic scan should be done to have all the engine sensors tested and checked.

Whens the last time you change your fuel filter. The other problem could be the fuel pump. Our you using Bio Diesel or regular Diesel ?
Some Bio Diesel will not burn hot enough to give you the power.

98 olds intrigue fuel pump making loud whinning noise but running great.

Ok 1 did you buy a brand new pump. 2 did it come with a replacement wiring harness. 3 if either 1 of those answers are no go buy a brand new pump with harness. If yes to both you got a bad pump.

Ford f250 power stroke diesel will not start. Where is the fuel relay located on a 2004

Fuel pump relay is behind the radio to the left. This is inside the dash board towards the drivers side. The fuel pump inertia shut off switch is in the passenger side front kick panel. Check for power at both sources before checking at the pump itself. It might save having to drop the tank.

Whinning when i start engine but not all the time. sometimes it is loud.

Most likely this is power steering pump noise. If it goes away then just leave it alone. Do make sure the fluid is up to level mark on the dipstick for the power steering fluid reservoir.

2004 Dodge 2500 diesel loses power while driving.

either your fuel guage is not reading properly and you have less fuel than you think or your fuel pickup nedds to be adjusted sometimes the pickup looses the ability to pull the fuel from a certain level which would indicate that the pick up is going bad or is already bad if you replace just the pickup see if you can get one thats a little longer than the one that you have already so that it can go deeper into the tank. maybe the pickup tube has fallen off also and the pump can only pull the fuel when the tank is full. hope this gives you some ideas as to where to start.

Lose power while driving

Hi. I had the same problem on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Cummins. I went to the dealer and they did a bunch of diagnostics and they replaced my fuel pump. At the same time they put in a retrofit kit that moved the fuel pump to the inside of the gas tank. I have not had the problem since. The cost was about $1,200, but my 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty covered it and I had to pay the $100 deductible.
