Sounds like your blower motor may have either ceased, or gotten an obstruction. Sometimes an animal will crawl into your heating unit and make a nest or other things get in there and bind up the hamster wheel (fan). Start by checking for power at the fan using a test light with a wire probe end. If you have power at the fan with the switch on but it's not spinning, first check for an obstruction, if no obstruction, check to make sure the ground is good from the motor (make your own ground with the test light by probing the ground) if the motor spins up, fix the ground wire, if not, time for a new blower motor unfortunately.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevrolet Silverado Heater/AC Blower on without Ignition ON

there is no relay for the heater fan it's a 15 amp fuse and is on the accessories circuit. the reostat is responsible for all 3 speeds .with the key off there should be no voltage to the blower motor whether the fans speed fan switch is on or off. the fuse will be located in the fuse paneleither on the drivers left side in the dash or underneath the dash in the fuse block. you have a short in the harness that is under the dash and most likely it's a bad plug on the harness. your going to have to do some searching but that's where the problem short is... please rate

SOURCE: Blower motor on works on high speed

Also, I'm having the same problem, kinda. My blower doesn't work on any speed. It worked fine before, but now it doesn't.

However, it's not a hard fix. Here's a link to a site with a write-up on how to replace the resistor pack as well as the wiring harness: http://www.355nation.net/forum/how-tutorials-reviews-service-bulletins/6401-how-hvac-fan-motor-resistor-connector-replacement.html

SOURCE: My 2004 Chevy Impalas blower motor will not shut

Most likely there is a relay "stuck" have some one remove the battery cable and you get in the car... when they put the cable back on you should hear a click this will help you locate it if you can not get a manual to show you where the relay is... could be under the hood or dash.... good luck!

2009 impala the heater blower motor fan starts randomly when engine is off

The blower motor relay for the Impala shouldn't be switched to on when the engine is off.

The relay should only be switched closed when there is power -- with the key on -- engine off or running. So no power should be flowing if those conditions aren't met. It isn't a "hot all the time" circuit.

Sounds like there could be some type of intermittent short-to-power in the wiring to the blower motor, or the blower motor control unit (HVAC unit). Could be other things but those are the first things I'd rule out.

I have a 2000 chevy blazer the blower works on 1 2 and 3 but it wont work on 4 I changed the dash switch and the resister but that didn't work

There is a relay in the under hood fuse box , blower motor relay .When switched to high it energizes the relay allowing power from the HVAC fuse /30 amp to flow direct to the blower motor. from pin 30 to pin 87 , if you look on the side of the relay there is a diagram .For all other speeds the current flows from the switch through the resistor through pin 87a to pin 30 on to the blower motor ! Check the HVAC fuse in the under hood fuse block .IF the fuse is good check for continuity between the fuse side with out B+ that means pulling the fuse and using a volt meter to see which side has power and checking the side that doesn't have power to pin 87 at the relay socket ! Probably a bad fuse or stuck relay . Pull that relay and try a different one. You can get wiring diagram at www.bbbind.com click on technical information ,then click on Technical Service Bulletins & Wiring Diagrams .then on next page go down to the bottom and click on I agree . next page click wiring diagrams ,then just fill in you vehicle information .then HVAC system . click on diagram, then you will see 7 links , click on the 5th one and that's the diagram for the blower motor circuit !

My 2000 Maxima GLE blower has stopped working. The a/c compressor comes on & runs but no air. I have run the temp switch above 80 to see if heater comes on but nothing. I do not find a fuse...

Check fuses 52 15A and 51 15A in the underhood fuse box. Check the Blower motor relay behind the right side of dash. Check the fan control amplifier (controls fan speed) behind right side of dash. Sound more like a blown fuse or bad blower motor relay

Heater fan not working.......fuse ok

As in fuse do you mean the blower motor relay? And if you checked that and it still dont operate best thing I can suggest is wire the blower motor directly to power and see if it turns on. If it doesnt then you have a bad blower motor. If it does turn on then check all connections and I would recommend actually replacing the relay not just checking it. Good luck
