My low coolant light is flickering on and off. I flushed the system today. No other symptoms. no overheating or leaks. this is on a 1995 Buick Regal Custom V6.

Thanks for confirming my first thought. Relatively easy fix. Took about 20 mins once I figured out how to get it out of the radiator. Suggest putting a bucket under the car to catch coolant that spills out. Sensor is located on left side under the filler cap. Thanks again.

The sensor should be easy to find, check it's connection. A Chilton book will have the schematic for your car, and you can track the circuit for the sensor.

It could be that the low coolant sensor is just dirty. You should be able to follow a wire to the top part of your radiator, to the sensor, or it might be in the overflow tank, take it out and clean it, and see if that will do it, if not, replace it.

My 98 buick regal looses coolant I have recently flushed system out, replaced water pump & thermostat but my I keep loosing coolant dont see any leaks i will fill it up & in a couple of days its...

Take look down by the belt tensioner. There are two by-pass tubes that run from the tensioner to the engine. The by-pass elbows have rubber seals on them and after the coolant flush may have damaged or ruined the seals.
The only other option is the coolant is going into the engine oil or transmission oil. Check both oils and see if they look "milky"
Good luck.

I have a 2001 Buick Regal. The light for the odometer is not coming on for a couple of months now and 2 days ago the light for the a/c controls is not working. Yesterday the low coolant light started...

it is probably just a burnt light on the dash for the a/c and the odometer, as for the low coolant light if the car jhas more than 100,000 miles on it you need to get the coolant flushed that is all the light is warning you about.

Had radiator flushed and coolant added 4 months ago. yesterday coolant needed light flashed on and then it went off. reservoir was empty. added water to reservoir, cranked the car and let it run 5 mins....

You probably have a slight leak from the coolant filler cap and you have lost coolant by evaporation over the four months. Check the seal on the cap and replace it or the cap.

1995 Buick regal- filled the coolant reservoir with antifreeze last Sunday to the cool temp line. (antifreeze was straight and not 50/50) checked the radiator and there was coolant all the way to the neck....

Check all around the intake manifold gasket for evidence of antifreeze. Also check your oil for evidence of coolant. The Dexcool antifreeze used in GM engines can cause the intake gaskets to deteriorate causing coolant leakage. Very difficult to detect.

My low coolant light flashes on and off then it will stay on.I have checked my coolant level it is good what could be the problem? 1999 Buick regal

Make sure you are checking the coolant level in the radiator as well as in the overflow tank. The sensor is located in the radiator, so if the level in the overflow tank is good, it could still be low in the radiator.

I have a 95 buick regal custom and it is still overheating and i am lost at what to fix next, we have replaced the raditor cap, thermostat, and water pump... i have about 30,000 miles or so on the motor...

If there are no leaks, a couple more things to check are a clogged radiator and a blown head gasket. Take the radiator cap off and start the engine. Let it warm up and look inside. Does the coolant flow in from the upper hose and go down the cooling tubes? Are there deposits inside? With the radiator full of coolant to the cap neck, are there any bubbles coming up the neck? Bubbles of combustion gas indicate a blown head gasket.
Lack of flow indicates a clogged radiator. A badly clogged radiator is best replaced rather than flushed. Let me know if you need instructions or have more questions.

Replaced 96 buick regal radiator. Now the coolant

check the level of coolant sounds like you had a air bubble in the system and it finally came to the top.which means the coolant will be down.
