Dec 19, 2012 - 25 posts - ‎18 authors I own a Hyundai Sonata 2012 which has a USB port that worked perfectly for listening to music on my iPhone. ... and it SUCKS. i want to be able to charge my phone via USB while I listen to music. .... I even bought an ALPINE stereo head unit and tried that, as they supposedly work with NOKIA phones, but.

It can be wiring issue.The stereo wiring has to be inspected.

It can be dirty or faulty disk,but if that's not the case the problem relates to cd player lens.Its not reading the disk.The inside lens which reads and detects the cd is either got dirty or its faulty and unit has to be replaced.-------So whether is dirty lens or faulty that can be confirmed once the unit is inspected.Try running lens cleaning cd in your cd player unit and see if that is helping.========For more help i suggest refer the help links mentioned below:------

remove cup holders first then 2 screws on bottom then 2 screws through the ac vent and should slide right out
check ebay or a car custom place

Check fuses. There are two fuses to this stereo. One that hold memory for the clock and stereo preset buttons and one for turning the stereo on. There are usually two fuse boxes, on inside the vehicle and one under the hood near the car's battery. Again, check ALL fuses. One is usually labeled for the radio/stereo, the other is not.
As for the CD changer, disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is easier then removing the changer and acts as a reset. Possibley bringing the changer back to working condition. Otherwise, this could be a repair issue, see www.carstereohelp.com
