Are 06 & 07 toyota tundra fuel pumps the same?

I have an 07 tundra crew max 5.7 and need to replace the fuel pump, will 1 for an 06 work, is there a good universal one around? I hate to spend 600+ on a pump for a truck w 48k miles. ugh!!!

I am pretty sure they are a different part... I'm assuming you have a fuel pump for an 06 laying around? You could always call your dealer and get the part number for the 5.7 pump and compare it to the part number on your 06 pump. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they are different and you really won't have a choice but to fork out the $600.

As a side note, however, I would really discourage an aftermarket pump. Toyotas in general really do not like aftermarket parts. While they may work for a little while, they can cause other (seemingly unrelated) problems that eventually trace back to an aftermarket part. Even spark plug wires make all the difference.

I have replaced the fuel pump and all the relays by my fuel pump still want come on it is a 2002 Toyota tundra with the iforce v8

Check the crankshaft position sensor. some trucks the sensor has to send a signal before the fuel pump kicks in. My Dodge 1 ton was that way, even though the book said it came on for several seconds when the key was turned on. Worked on it for several days after I actually had it fixed.

2007 tundra crew cab truck, PO456 OEM Brand. List four things: 1.Faulty fuel cap 2.EVAP line leakage 3.Pumpmodule failure 4. Cannister faulty. I know it's not the cap, how do I check the rest

The canister is not round. It is mounted under the vehicle and near the drive line. It has a rectangular shape and has several connections to it. Some are hoses and lines and some are wires. The common problem with these units is that the whole canister needs to be replaced. http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/corolla-matrix/67204-any-common-problems-evap-recovery-system/

Have a 2000 toyota tundra; when taking off gas tank, tank fell and pulled color wires from 5 pin connector on fuel pump. help to rewire. the connector is number 1, 2, 3, 5,4 but the wires are different...

A $20 service manual should include wiring diagrams which will show you color codes. When you buy a manual, make sure it has diagrams. murf427
