I have a 1999 Volkswagen Microbus Exclusive 2.6I which runs on leaded petrol. Two months ago we filled the tank inadvertently with unleaded petrol. Now the vehicle jers in second gear. Has this got to

easy to check. look under the vehicle close to the manifold and if you see an oval shaped stainless steel containerther you most likely will have a c/c. next point if you use leaded in a unleaded vehicle it will affect the catalytic converter buy causing it to block up.next the oxygen senson may be contaminated and not sending the right readings to the cpu so the engine management system will be affected. Best have it checked at a dealer before you do any more damage.

Can 94 jetta run on leaded or unleaded petrol

It is best to run this engine on unleaded petrol. A high grade unleaded will give you extra performance and cause no damage. Leaded fuel was designed for cars made in the 60's to 80's that had used softer materials in their cylinder heads, leaded fuel pro-longed cylinder head life and reduced pre-ignition. Unleaded fuels are a cleaner, safer fuel to use.

I have a Isuzu D/C 4x4 KB 260 1997 Do I use unleaded or leaded petrol

I am assuming since you posted this question you are not US based where leaded petrol has been phased out since late 70's. The Isuzu KB260 truck was manufactured to use Unleaded petrol. Lead was added to be a lubricant in older engines that were hand machined in factories LONG ago... the valves and all werent as close in tolerance and the lead in teh gas helped keep them in shape. Newer engines, such as your Isuzu, utilize computer machining during assembly and the tolerances are more precise....so the lead is not required. Be sure and use Unleaded in your vehicle.

Unleaded fuel

Hi,

Am afraid nothing much you can do since you have to make do with what is locally available. However, a couple of things you can keep in mind:
1. Using leaded fuel with a car intended to use unleaded fuel would destroy your car's catalytic converter faster than normal wear and tear;
2. At times unleaded would be available, pls use as much as possible to help clean/remove the lead additive, tetraethyllead that will cover some soft engine parts with the lead-containing material;
3. you may have to tune your engine's timing to compensate for the leaded fuel.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
