There are two tubes that come from the drivers side of the engine that are blowing hot air. Once connected to the 2 tubes was a plastic "box" with a sensor in it. The plastic box melted off, the engine lost power. Does anyone know what the part name is of the plastic box with the sensor
If the plastic box is located on the intake manifold, and the air filter tube leads to it, it is the mass air flow sensor. If it is located on the firewall, (about 3-4 inches long, 2-3 inches wide) it is the map sensor. If it is part of the emissions system, it is your charcoal canister. This box is larger (sometimes a car battery size)
SOURCE: I have a cold air intake on my mazda 6 car. At the
maybe its the valve tappets. circulation of oil has not reached its peak since the first start. wait a few minutes for oil to reach the top of engine. normally cold air intake reach the engine at the first start. air from the exhaust manifold is recirculated to improved combustion.
