I have a 1998 lincoln town car signature series while i was drivin the air suspension light came on but car drives fine. there is a switch in the trunk but its on so do i turn it off or what need help
If there is no difference in the ride height then you could have a leak which is under control. There is also an inertia switch next to the air suspension switch. Make sure you are using the correct button. When air bleeds out of a suspension bag things can get weird. There is a diagnostic plug which dealers have testers for. Autozone or Murrays may also have testers for this part.
The warning light is advising you of a fault in the rear air suspension system. Is the car sitting level ? The switch in the trunk is ONLY TURNED OFF when you incur a flat tire in the rear tires and must jack up the rear of the car. IF NOT TURNED OFF the air suspension will over-extend with air . Hope this helps.
