1997 Mitsubishi Galant Died

Ive been driving the car for a while and for a few days anytime I came to a stop light or stop sign and let the car idle, it idle'd close to 0 on the RPM meter, you could even feel the car start to shake. If I turned on the AC it dropped the RPM even lower. Yesterday while trying to drive down the block I came to a stop sign and the car died while idling. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Sounds like the EGR valve is bad and is stuck in the open position.Just replace that and you should also check the catalytic converter.

You do not need to reset the computer. The idle speed is low because the computer was reset when the battery was disconnected when the T belt was replaced, the system will slowly adjust the idle back up to the correct speed based on your driving habits, it learns as you drive. It will take about 100 miles.
