Why does my 92 chevy 1500 heater not get hot?

My 92 chevy 1500 heater doesn't blow very hot air. It is barely warmer that normal air. I have flushed heater core, new thermostat, and had radiator flushed. Only other thing I can think of is possibly blend door, but its a pain to get to and don't want to replace it if not needed. Any suggestions?

You may have a heater valve that is on one of your heater core hoses may be bad.

You need to fix the coolant leak, then refill and bleed cooling system, then you will get heat and cure overheating problem too

92 chevy 1500 silverado Changed thermostat, heater core, core hose not hot. No heat

It sounds like your heater core is stopped up. try flushing it out, you can use a water hose. and if you cant get it to clean out then you will need to change the heater core.

My heater is blowing just barely warm air. the heater hoses are hot on just the one hose.

Which "hose" is hot and the other is "not"?
The one's going into the Heater Core?
If so:
Then you have a blocked Heater Core.
Remove and Flush this before deciding whether or not to replace it.

Heater is not blowing hot air but motor is pushing air 1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4 360 motor

I just bought a 98 with a 360 and it has the same problem. If I rev mine up or drive in Drive not Overdrive the heat gets alot better. I talked to a service manager at a Dodge dealer and he told me the most likely problem is the heater core is plugged with casting sand that comes off the engine block over time. I flushed it twice with some improvement but I still think it needs another one or two times to make it better yet. There was alot of gunk that came out, and the second flush I caught a sample earlier then I did on the first flush and once it settled you can see there is actual sand in it.

Blowing cold air

I had the same problem that I just fix by flushing the heater core out with a hose.   take the two hoses off the fire wall and put the water to it and let flush.  my heater is putting out 150 dg. F  of hot air.   I'm so excited!  i will stay warm now.

Heater doesn,t blow hot

Have you checked your coolant? if coolant is low it can cause an air pocket in heater core and it wont pass out until rpm's increase by the extra flow of water pump. if it is full then might wanna try removing heater hoses and back flushing heater core with water might have a little trash in it restricting flow.

My truck dosnt get hot in the cab blows warm cool air!

I would check your heater control valve, that, or the core itself being bad, are the two most common problems I've had with Chevys.
