2002 Chevy Impala Radio Doesn't Work

I recently bought a used 2002 Chevy Impala Police Car. The car has some minor dings, etc...but overall is in good condition. When I try to turn on the radio, nothing happens. The light dimmer switch controls the background light on the car and does work. It appears the radio is not receiving any power, but I know the radio was used because many of the buttons on the radio are faded from constant use. The battery was completely dead when I bought the car, I put in a new battery and the car started immediately.

Any suggestions?

Check the radio fuse? Box is drivers side end of dash(drivers door open)or pass side end of dash(passenger door open)
police models have a connection for the speakers (passenger floorboard under floor mat) to connect the speakers to the police radios.
If they had the speakers connected to their radios, they may have unhooked them and not connected them back to the radio.
The wires are brown, grey, blue and light blue. All into a blue connector.

I have a 2005 Chevy Impala the motor locked up what do I do?

Jeanell, If engine is truly locked up, you have a few choices, find a good used engine from auto recyclers/wrecking yard, have engine torn down and rebuilt, have new engine installed, scrap car and look for another vehicle.
If vehicle is overall good/excellent condition and brakes, tires, suspension, exhaust, etc. good, the most cost effective would be to have a good lower millage engine from auto wreckers installed, some auto wreckers also do the install and guarantee the engine and their work.

How can I bypass the security code

Why do think the key security is bad? If you still have a factory key, this is not the problem...if no factory key, you can take your VIN number or original key to GM dealer to get new key that they will program for you...Check for dirty battery connections:)

I have a 2002 Chevy Malibu, and I somehow blew the fuse for the horn and the radio will not turn on or doors won't ding. Checked the fuse boxes..found the blown fuse for the radio and replaced it and the...

Check your owners manual for the location of a SECOND radio fuse. There are usually TWO fuses for the radio. One is the for the circuit to operate the radio when the ignition switch is turned on, the other is when the switch is off. The second one provides power to the radio when the key is off. It keeps the clock running and your radio presets. The radio requires BOTH fuses to operate properly.

Why would a 2003 Chevy Impala's speakers not work? The radio and CD player work, but I get no sound what so ever. The car was bought used in 2009 and the radio has never worked. I was told that something...

This may be a anti-theft issue. If it is and you want it fixed, the Chevy Dealter is probably the best place to have this work done, IF it can be done at all. My Chevy radio instructions tell me that if there is a genuine power loss to the radio when the anti theft system is activated (like someone breaking into the car and stealing it, cutting the wires) that the radio will not work again with out GM intervention.
