Check the E-Brake, make sure that the ebrake is not engaged and that it is fully disengaging. If that is not the problem, then there is something with the brake calipers or rotors that are not allowing your brakes to fully disengage

2001 mazda mpv van brake light stays on after changing brakes and bleeding system how do you get the light to go off

check the master cylinder. there is a float in the reservoir that when the level gets low, it turns on the brake light. or check the ebrake...also on ABS systems you have to actuate the ABS module with a scantool to get out all the air in the system.

Mazda yr 2000 Premacy. After parking car up for a few months both the brake and ABS warning lights are on. Car brakes seem to work OK

Your ABS control module has failed. It can fail in two areas.. either the fuse controlling it which is a large fuse and located in the engine cmpartment on most vehicles or the actual ABS actuator control module which is a computer driven box located on bottom of vehicle that pumps the brakes to make them antilock (think how in the 70s you were told to pump brakes, now the car pumps its own brakes) The computer module is what burns out leaving you without ABS but not brakes themselves. Your car indicates this by showing you an ABS error light and a brake light. You are not in danger by driving the vehicle you just will NOT have antilock brakes in the event of an accident and could slide if you lock the brakes by slamming them down. Check your owners manual for the fuse location in your vehicle and inspect it. If its burned out replace it and see if this fixes the problem This is a 3-7 dollar fuse. If that doesnt do the trick unfortunately the repair is very expensive 700+ dollars for a new control unit.

WHAT IS A BTN FUSE ON A 1992 MAZDA MPV . IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE HEADLIGHTS OR DIMMER SWITCH I THINK

BTN stands for Body/Tail/iNterior. It protects the HAZARD, ANTENNA, ROOM, STOP, ILLUM and ABS fuses in the cabin fuse box, which in turn protect the hazard lights, antenna, ECU memory, brake lights, tail lights2.gif, ABS, power locks, clock, horn, illumination, stereo, HVAC, interior lights and alarm. smile.gif __________________

MPV 2001 burning smell, high whine?

Sound like the alternator bearings are seized or about to seize. The noise could be the bearings or the belt and the smell may be either of them also.

1993 Cavalier ABS light and parking brake light both stay on

The fuse is probably blown or the sensor at the front wheel got hit by a hard ball of snow, the ABS sensor is at the front wheels and you have to get under the car to get a look at it.
