Need to get door panel off to replace side view mirro on passenger side.
How do I replace the electric mirror on my pickup? I can get at the back of the mirror but I need to get the door panel off to hook up the electricity.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. then pop off the cover beside the mirror and remove the bolts

To remove mirror pry off inside triangle panel(black) which exposes 3 nuts which are removed with socket wrench. Detach wire harness and pull out mirror assembly. To replace insert new mirror screws thru assigned holes and reconnect wire harness and tighten nuts to snug. Push inside triangle panel back into place and you're done! It's that easy.
There are at least 2 screws, 1 at the armrest and one near the door handle that must be removed. They are usually under small plastic caps that have to be pryed up. Remove the Window handle if you have manual windows. Starting at the bottom of the door near the right corner with a flat head screw driver you need to pry the door panel away from the door releasing the push pins that hold it in place. These are difficult to remove and require patience and a little force to pry them out. Once the door panel is removed you should see whe 3 mount nuts/bolts that hold the side mirro in place and be able to access them so the old mirror can be removed and new one installed. Reverse the process to put everything back together.
Position the inner edge or the exterior rear view mirror glass to its maximum travel.
WARNING: Place a shop towel between the exterior rear view mirror glass and the hand to avoid personal injury in the instance of glass breakage. Grasp the outboard edge of the exterior rear view mirror glass and pull outward.
Remove the exterior rear view mirror glass.
If equipped, disconnect the heated rear view mirror glass electrical connectors.
Installation
If equipped, connect the heated rear view mirror glass electrical connectors.
NOTE: An audible click will be heard during installation. Press firmly in the center of the exterior rear view mirror glass until it snaps onto the exterior rear view mirror motor.

get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

Behind the passenger-side front-door at the bottom of the window you will find a molded triangular panel with a tweeter [audio speaker]. To access the nuts that affix the side-view mirror to the door you will remove the panel. Gently pry on the top of the panel to remove it but be careful as speaker wires will be attached. Quick way to replace the mirror assembly is to support the panel and don't put stress on the wires. Open the door and find the nuts that hold the mirror onto the door. If you have electric powered mirrors you will need to separate the connector that sends current to the mirror for the remote function. Remove the nuts and be very careful not to drop the nuts into the door cavity. Good luck!
