All my power windows just went one day on my 2001

All my power windows just went one day on my 2001 hyundai elantra(hatchback). check out all of my fuses none were bad inside of the car. dont know if there would be a fuse underneath the hood?? also replaced my master switch on the diver side door. still did nothing. pulled 30 amp fuse out and using my ohm meter i put one lead at the box and one on the wire at the switch have continuity.

Is there a "relay" to it...."power window relay"

if there is one.....that is probably the problem........

also make sure no wires are shorted...

These cars have a TSB on the wiring for both front doors. Water can leak into the the plug in the door jam and corrode the connectors. I would check those.

2001 elantra master power window switch

at the bottom and top of the switch there are retaining tabs. you can try to pop it out at those points with a flathead screw driver, but it is sometimes easier to just remove the door panel to get it out.

check for any circuit brakers near the fuse box, if theres any of them reset them by introducing a paperclip in the small hole and press, you will hear a click.

Hydraulic arms for 2001 hyundai elantra hatchback

They are gas charged shocks, so if they aren't holding, they won't hold in the future. You will either have to "rig" it, or buy new/used units and replace them. It could be just one that is bad (and it is usually really random when they go out), but they only make them just strong enough to hold as a pair.
