SOURCE: 2003 pontiac grand am power

there are 2 clips on the window that are connected to the track. They are glue on and then screwed in. they have a bad habit of breaking. Its not a hard fix but it does take some time.

SOURCE: Can I raise power window manually?

No, the motor will provide too much resistance. I suggest a sheet of clear plastic & duct tape until you can get it fixed. Sorry.

SOURCE: 2004 chevy classic power windows front passenger

It sounds like the front window has a bad window switch. Removing the switch panel is usually not that difficult. Look for a pry slot usually located at the back of the panel. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver and pry up on the panel. The switch panel should come out of the door panel. Next, locate the wiring harness for that switch. The switch panel can be tested as follows :
1. Connect a test light to one side of the harness and operate the window.
2. Do the same thing for the other side of the harness.
If the light comes on in one direction but not in the other, then the most likely cause is a faulty switch panel. Perform the same procedure for the rear window. If it lights in both directions, then the most likely cause is a bad window motor. If that is what it appears to be, then I can tell you how to test the window motor before replacing. Just give me a response back if you need to. I hope this information has been helpful and thank you for using Fixya.com.

What could be problem

1) Master power window switch on the driver door may be bad.
2) Make sure the passenger door master switch has the passenger door switch enabled. If the switch on the passenger door wont raise the window, you probably have a bad window regulator. If it raises the window then the master switch is bad.
3) If the window makes noises when you use the switch and doesn;t raise, then the regulator is bad, Check EBAY for sales, that's where you or your mechanic can find them...Chris

1989 ford Van passenger side power window will not raise or lower. Glass is intact, in bottom support arm, and in tracts. Motor makes sound like it is raising or lowering window but window does not move.

The problem is the power motor gear that raises and lowers the window is worn out. The motor runs, but the gear cannot engage with the gear on the window regulator.
