You can reach it through the engine compartment over the top of the manifold. I tried from below and it's very hard. On top you can use a breaker bar and get plenty of muscle into it. it's reallt tight I suspect. Again, reach all the way over the engine through the engine compartment.

Worked like a charm for me. Good Luck

You should be able to reach it from the top. It is a stretch. The hardest part is getting it out. If you have the new part already you can cut the wires and use a regular socket wrench to get it off. Some like to run the engine for a minute or two before starting. Soak it with PB Blaster, wait a minute, and go at it. If clearance is an issue, try a box end wrench. The socket designed for the O2 sensor has a split in it that sometimes can spread. It is also hard to use the knuckles as they deflect a lot of torque.

Once it is removed, make sure that the paste is on the threads. This will help the next time this needs to be done. Thread it in, torque it down, and plug it in ( the plug is on the alternator bracket.)

My jeepliberty will crank but not fire. error code 135 BANK 1 AND 155 BANK 2?

If they are codes P0135 and P0155 they refer to both O2 sensors nearest the engine on the exhaust. The ones before the catalytic converter on each exhaust pipe.
P0135 = O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0155 = O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1

P1884 code 2005suzuki forenza P0420 P0134 P0138

code p 420 refers to cat converter system , bank 1--efficiency below threshold ===causes ---cat converter faulty---wiring --heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), 2 faulty
code p 0134 refers to HO2S 1 bank 1-no activity detected ===causes --wiring open circuit -- heating inoperative --- HO2S
also refers to oxygen sensor ( O2S) 1 bank 1--no activity detected == causes wiring ---O2S
code p 0138 refers to HO2S 2 bank 1--high voltage === causes ---wiring short to positive ---HO2S--- ECM
also refers to O2S 2 bank 1 high voltage === wiring short to positive O2S -- ECM
I do not have a listing for code p 1338 but I suspect that it will refer to the other codes in some way
first fix is to check the cat converter is operational ( not cracked and blocking the exhaust system)
next replace the HO2S sensor ( one before the cat converter ) and then the O2 sensor (the one after the cat converter)
all the codes will relate to problems in that area

O2 sensor?

O2 sensors are always after the cat converter and HO2S sensors are always before the cat converter.
p0135 refers to heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 1 bank 1-heater control--circuit malfunction
If it is a straight 6 cylinder engine with 2 cat converters it will be the sensor before the cat converter that connects to the manifold from pistons 1.2.3
If it is a V6 it will be the sensor that is in front of the cat converter that connects to the rear bank pistons 1.2.3. Use the special socket when removing/replacing the sensors to prevent wiring damage

What is diagnostic procedures for DTC p0135 & p0141

Oxygen Sensor problems... P0135 (Bank 1, Sensor 1) and P0141 (Bank 1, Sensor 2)

P0135 - Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
This code refers to the front oxygen sensor on Bank 1. The heated circuit in the oxygen sensor decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it.

The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0135.

Symptoms: You will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the MIL.

Causes: A code P0135 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
O2 Heater element resistance is high
Internal short or open in the heater element
O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
open or short to ground in the wiring harness

Possible Solutions:
Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

P0141 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
This code means that the heated circuit in the oxygen sensor on bank 1 decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0141.

Symptoms: You will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the Check Engine Light.

Causes: A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
open or short to ground in the wiring harness
O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
O2 heater element resistance is high
Internal short or open in the heater element

Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.

Possible Solutions:
Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors

Need to know were the bank one , sencer one is on my buick century 2000 v6

Oxygen sensors are always numbered like this:
Bank 1 sensor 1
Bank 2 sensor 1
Bank 1 sensor 2
Bank 2 sensor 2

Some manufacturers use a kind of shorthand that reads different, but means the same thing:
Sensor 1/1 or O2s 1/1
Sensor 2/1 or O2s 2/1
Sensor 1/2 or O2s 1/2
Sensor 2/2 or O2s 2/2

Bank 1 is always the side of the engine where cylinder number 1 is located and, of coarse, Bank 2 is the opposite side.
On a 4 cylinder engine, there is only 1 bank and it is always referred to as Bank 1.

Sensor 1 is always the upstream sensor (The one located BEFORE the catalytic converter)
Sensor 2 is always the downstream sensor (the one that is located AFTER the catalytic converter.

Hope helps (remember to rate this).

P1155 code for a toyota rav4 2002, engine lite came , took to parts store, put on diognostic machine , this code came up. wat does it mean?

Bank 2 sensor 1 Air fuel sensor heater circuit. This sensor is NOT an O2 sensor, though it operates like one and in the same location(in exhaust stream). Basically the PCM detected that the heater circuit was drawing excessive amperage or no amperage. Usually it's a bad a/f sensor and replacing it will fix it, however, it doesn't rule out the possibility of damaged wiring or an open in the power or ground circuit, or a short in the power or ground circuit.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

Error code p0032 on 2004 dodge caravan. what is the code?

Hi.

P0032 means HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 1).

It means high impedance from O2 sensor, check wiring to sensor and replace the sensor.
Check O2 sensor located in bank 1 (cylinder 1 side- see here), and after the catalitic converter (there is also an O2 sensor before cat converter).

Where is 02 sencer heater (bank 1 sencer 2) located

I believe your car only has a single catalytic converter. If that's the case, then your bank 1 sensor 2 will be the O2 sensor that's located after the Catalytic converter away from the engine
