Yes but if something was getting that hot it should have blown a fuse-you could pick up another unit at a junk yard-cheers Denny

SOURCE: rear speakers stopped working

my speakers went out front and rear i was told by an audio tech. that the systems that chevrolet put in them each speaker has its own amp to bust the sound the only way to fix it is to replace them.
if you have a warranty chevrolet will replace them otherwise find a junk yard or new system. i ordered a set of used speakers off ebay havent installed yet.

SOURCE: 04 trailblazer, NO AIR coming through vents.

once a year you want to check the antifreeze/ freeon in your cooling system. from my understanding the cooling and heating system require this to function properly. they sell cans of this stuff at walmart that you can put in yourself.

SOURCE: 2006 chevy trailblazer heater blower motor not working

You might wanna check and make sure the heater switch didn't go bad. It could even be the blower motor itself.

SOURCE: 2002 Trailblazer blower not working

The blower motor resistor card is located under the glove box. You have to take the bottom panel from underneath the glove box out(be careful not to break the wire clip that holds the wires in place on that panel). Once you take the panel loose look in the back. You will see the blower motor. Behind the blower motor is the card. You will need a 9/32 for the panel and a 7/32 for the card. It is only 4 screws total to remove and 2 wire harness clips. It is about a 15 minute job. Good luck and hope this helps.  Auto Zone has the part for around $15.00 and will have the step by step instrutions for you also if you need it free of charge. I think the dealer charges $109.00 for this repair.

SOURCE: Front heat does not work, rear heat does?

I'm just a regular diy'er, no training. Had same problem, 2001 Suburban, front blew cool air when heating, rear heat warmed up nicely. After reading other posts on other boards, took off the the heater hose clamps (make sure you remember which is which) at the firewall. With low pressure garden hose flushed left inlet/outlet first till I got good flow, then the right side, and back to left. Reattached hoses, started and tested. Heat blows just fine. I can't think of anything that could be damaged by this, but check with someone who know something first before trying it on your vehicle, but it worked for me. So far so good.

Testimonial: "Tried this simple solution and it worked perfectly. Who knows how much repair money I saved, thank you."

I have an 04 Chrysler Pacifica that the A/C has stopped blowing from the dash in the front, however the A/C is still working in the rear. Any suggestions as to what this could be?

I'm taking it that the front blower motor is not working, could be the blower motor itself is bad or the blower resistor. If the blower motor is working, possibly a bod mode door actuator.

Replaced a resistor in chrysler 2004 town and country, now weird smell whe defroster is on... The front vents wouldnt blow out any air, just quit working. The rear vents worked fine. Now strange smell...

Pull the blower motor out and clean out the leaves and other vegetable matter that has gotten in there, it is burning off on the very hot blower motor resistor coils

The blower motor is not working at all, it was working then suddenly quit. I checked the fuse and it appears to be ok.

Without other symptoms it is hard to say. This vehicle is notorious for a connection failure (melting) from the controller to the blower motor.
Symtoms include the fan only working on certain speed settings or a slight smell of something burning.
You can view this connection by emptying your glove box of the contents and then taking the glove box housing out. It is a 8 wire or so connector going up towrad the blower motor up behind the glove box.

Bad Clutch Fan? Rear ac/heat don't work front only works on 4

The fan clutch isnt engaged at all times, therefore it may be normal to hold it in place (not recommended). On these trailblazer's 4.2L engine the fan clutch is electronically controlled. Usually when this vehicle's fan clutch malfunctions, there is a random ticking noise while idling or at a stop, also the "service engine soon" may turn on. As for the the fan speed problem, this may be a faulty blower resistor malf (typical) or climate control unit may be faulty. Hopefully this helps!!

Front heater will not blow air...heat trickles out... have smelled burning smell when put on high....rear heat works fine

It sounds like the blower motor has burned out. It probably ruined the blower motor resistor at the same time. I think the blower motor is right by the right (passenger side) hood hinge and the resistor is just under the motor.

2004 denali rear hvac

I had this same problem, With it running and heat and blower on full blast remove and unplug the rear faceplate for the rear heat.
Unplug for about a min.
Shut off engine.
Cycle the key 5 times.
Start engine.
Plug in the plug to the face plate.
For about a min. nothing will happen no heater no blower.
After the multiplex system refinds its address, the rear heat will then work again.
this worked for my 04 trailblazer.
