Check your batt voltage
to see if your battery still good should be 12.6 volts no less than 12.4 volts you may have a short some were a some serious resistance in your cables when your car is running check your voltage at the alternator should be around 14.6 or higher then check your voltage at the batt while the car is still running should be the same if you have a really big difference then your battery cables have a lot of resistance /corrosion

Testimonial: "listen, would that still be the case; because I bought a brand new battery? also my ol man broke my crank sensor, slam a light down in it. would that have anything to do with it ?"

If you have cleaned all your battery connections you may have to get the alternator checked to make sure its actually putting out voltage. The symptoms you describe indicates it is not, which means you are running on battery power only and when the battery runs down there is not enough power to fire the spark plugs.

SOURCE: 2001 oldsmobile intrigue 3.5 L, Alternator/Battery

The battery light coming on means the charging system cannot manage the demand on the system - i.e weak battery, defective alternator, bad regulator...
Changing parts doesn't necessarily mean the replacements are working. Measure the voltage on the battery with the car running, you should see 13.7 to 15.1 volts. Turn on the headlamps, rear defogger, etc (put the system under load), you should stay in the same range.
Assuming all of your electrical connections are good, the symptoms point to the alternator/regulator - these are integrated into one unit.

SOURCE: battery not charging

Sounds like the cells in the battery have shorted. It's probably shot. Does the car run once its jump started? Does it continue to run after the cables are removed, if so your alternator is ok and its the battery. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: 2001 oldsmobile intrigue, won't keep a charge?

This is my second oldsmobile i have owned. Now there is two positive connections right above where the battery is make sure they are free of rust and they are tight be careful not to over tighten nuts. Oldsmobile's are terrible for those external positive posts.

SOURCE: 1994 oldsmobile died while idling

Take a battery that has a good charge on it or 12 volts put it in and start it then take a multimeter and put the red lead on to the power lead on the back of the alternator and ground the black lead.It should read between 13-14.5 volts anything more or less replace alternator. If alternator checks out ok check battery voltage after charging it.Must have at least 12-12.6 volts anything less replace battery.

SOURCE: i tried to jump a

clean and tighten all your battery connections and fully charge it,, when you get it charged , have it LOAD tested, you may have a dead cell in it, once you know you have a good , fully charged battery ,, test the battery posts with a meter,, you should get a reading of 13.5 to 14.5 volts, if not, your alternator isn't charging correctly,, ( note,, use extreme care when jumping another car, a single back feed into your car could fry the computer,,

94 camry has power but will not start

Try tapping and wiggling the EFI main relay. Camrys this age will sometimes develop broken contacts in the EFI main relay base, the socket it sits in. When contact is lost, the engine just dies, as no power is getting to the ECU. You will know if this is so because the check engine light does not glow when you first turn on the ignition.

Car died out no inside lights no horn no lights

your battery is dead. attempt to jump off another cars battery please look up instructions on how to do this if you dont know how. make sure to drive your car around after jumping it to help charge the battery, DO NOT JUST TURN THE CAR OFF RIGHT AWAY.
otherwise your battery may just be toast, go to your nearest auto parts store to buy a new battery and have it put in or put it in yourself if jumping doesnt work.

Battery light and beyond?

how many miles did you drive, before finally getting home ? . Was it at night with heater on ? If the battery light was on at that time, you pulled ALL of the power out of your new battery. Need to recharge the battery, and most likely need an alternator. Hope this helps
